Oh, this family! I met Sasha when she reached out to me two years ago to be her Kansas City portrait photographer. The minute we hopped on the phone, I thought, “Hey, this is my kind of person.” In fact, I would go so far as to say if you are “in,” in Sasha’s book, you’ve made it in life! Am I sounding dramatic? Maybe. But is it true? Absolutely. (Also, she’s a psychiatrist, so it’s also literally true…)
When Sasha texted me photos of her formal Pakistani dresses a few weeks ago, I squealed and said, “Let’s DO THIS!” Her and David’s anniversary was coming up, and there was an oh-so-cute birthday boy in the family as well. What better time to get stunning portraits?!
We timed it perfectly. This was a 70 degree day in the middle of a cold spell in early March. Kansas City, you sure keep us on our toes!
As much as I’m a sucker for photographing gorgeous people in beautiful clothes (swoon!), what I love even more is spending time with them and seeing the love in their eyes. Call me sentimental, but life is made up of all the little things,… all the meaningful things, and that is my approach to photography. If you are looking for a light and airy Kansas City portrait photographer, I’d absolutely love to work with you! You won’t regret it.
In the meantime, please enjoy portraits of the most amazing people you ever did meet! Sasha and David, thank you for letting me be a part of your family’s memories. I’m the lucky one here!
Here’s what my client had to say about her experience!
“There are too many wonderful things to write about Jeanna. I will start with the fact that I will never have another human take my photo again. Her understanding of light and color and posing and framing make for the absolute perfect shot every time. Every holiday card I put together I have people begging for her contact info.
Perhaps above all of that is who she is. She makes even the most uncomfortable and awkward people look like naturals and can use her photography sorcery to capture these incredible images of my kids (who are absolute tornados). We love her and have told her that she will be taking our photos for as long as she can hold a camera.”
Jeanna Hayes is an Blue Springs, MO (East Kansas City) family, maternity, and newborn photographer. You can inquire about your own photoshoot here!
