"what sessions do you offer?"

Hello and welcome, friend! I'm tickled you are here and considering getting downright amazing photos (just take a moment to close your eyes... can you imagine the MAGIC we are going to create together?!)

I'm happy you asked! ;) First, may I tell you what you GET when you book with me? I am an award-winning, internationally published photographer who absolutely prides myself in the quality and consistency of my work. I will provide you with an extremely high quality of images so you never regret getting photos taken that you LOVE (and not just ones you settled for). Life goes by SO quickly and I want you to adore the photos that capture this moment in your life before time moves on.

Portrait collections begin at $685 and Commercial pricing is custom depending on the needs of the project (as each is so unique). I would be happy to send you further details and/or set up a time for a quick chat about what would be best suited for you. I will help you find the best fit for your session, in a low-pressure approach (I know how much I appreciate that when I'm in your shoes!)

After you choose which portrait session is best for you and you are ready to make it official (yay! *me throwing confetti*), we will complete the following steps:

STEP 1: We choose a date and time for the shoot, as well as a backup in case of inclement weather.

STEP 2: I will send you a questionnaire which helps me get a little more information on your session and who will be there. (psst: I can't wait to meet you!)

STEP 3: I send over a contract, and invoice. You may pay the full session fee, OR a non-refundable retainer of half (the other half is due one week before the session). Completing both the contract and payment secure your photo session!

"Sooo... how does this work? And how much is it?"

I offer the following portrait sessions:
- Family (immediate and extended)
- Maternity (please ask about my "Belly to Baby" program!)
- Newborn lifestyle
- Couples/Anniversary
- Seniors/Models
- SESSION VIDEO add-ons
- Mini sessions (offered twice a year - Spring and Fall)

*at this time I do not offer wedding day coverage but I am happy to photograph engagements, bridals and formals.

"where will our photos take place?"

I choose locations very carefully. In order for your images to turn out the very best they can, I need specific elements in place with lighting and landscaping. Because of this, I will extend a few options on where to have your session take place in the general Kansas City area, complete with examples.

I also offer indoor shoots for select sessions such as in-home newborn, and occasionally other sessions as well. For these sessions I need certain elements in a home (an area with lots of natural light and neutral paint colors) to achieve the look you love!

"what should we wear?"

Ahh, outfits... a word that either strikes moms with excitement or stress when it comes to photos! The great news is that I am here to help you. I've got your back ;). I offer a digital clothing guide complete with helpful shop links, which I send upon booking. I also have a "client closet" filled with boutique items* you may choose from if you wish.

Clothing can make one of the BIGGEST differences in your outcome. Chances are, if you like my photos it's because you are drawn to the "light and bright" style. You may notice that most of the photos I show, feature people in light colors and simple patterns. Every photographer has a different approach, but my theory is that when you go "light and airy" with your clothing, the attention is brought to your beautiful face. Instead of competing with busy patterns, eyes are drawn to your smile, and your family's expressions and interactions.

Choosing ideal clothing also is essential to the overall color tone of the photo. The BEST news is that these kinds of clothes are easy to find! Now more than ever, you can find light colors and simple styles.

If you are looking for a more vibrant photo, that is ok! My signature style uses lighter coloring, however I am not limited to one look. I continue to use lots of light and have several examples of photos where clients prefer more vivid color tones.

*Items in my client closet include: maternity gowns by Sew Trendy, Tai Pan, and other designers, women and girl dresses, and a selection of little boy items.

"do you offer mini sessions and if so, how do they work?"

I offer mini sessions twice a year in the Kansas City area (one date each in the Spring and Fall), and also when I travel back home to the Las Vegas area once or twice a year. I will announce mini's in advance on my Instagram page - they fill up quickly! I book several sessions in the same timespan and location, and that is how I am able to offer a discounted rate.
($350 for 15 minutes and you recieve 25 images)

Mini sessions are great when you want something really quick and at less of a cost than a full session. However, because they are offered

Mini sessions are great when you want something really quick and at less of a cost than a full session. However, because they are offered only twice a year, there may be a wait involved. Also, 15 minutes can work for you, or it could be too short of a timespan for what you need. I'm happy to discuss the pros and cons with you! Full sessions are fantastic for having time to get everything - not only just the highlights, but the moments in between, the details, playing shots, and it is nice and relaxed. Often children benefit from a full session if they need time to calm down or just take a small break. We are also free to choose a day that works for both of us, whereas mini's are a set date. Each kind of session has their benefits! Many families with small children prefer a full session because it gives plenty of time and space if their kids need it. For what it's worth, I have never had a full or mini session that I didn't get some great images out of! So either kind of session is going to be AWESOME ;).

"do you travel for sessions?"

I often travel to my hometown of Las Vegas (Viva Las Vegas!) to visit my family, and I typically offer mini and full sessions while I'm there.

I am happy to discuss travel opportunities and rates selectively, and please follow along on my Instagram when I announce personal travel plans, as I very often offer a session or two wherever we go!
